WE ARE ABHYUDAY HOSPITAL

This is dr. Uday joglekar, a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology Successfully managing an 18 – bedded maternity home for the last 18 years. Coming from a family of medical professionals, having my own health care Centre had always been a dream. After completing my master degree in the Branch of obstetrics and gynaecology from shivaji university, maharashtra, India, i returend back to my native town, agashi, virar.with steady progress I had to expand thehospital to its current size that is 18- bedded.

I started a 10-bedded maternity home namely “abhyuday maternity home”.with a staff of about 10-trained nurse and 2-helpers. My hospital was catering to only maternity and gynecology cases. Initially there were around 75-80 confinements annually for the first 5years.withthe goodwill of my parents who were general practitioners in the same town for the past 30 years and support from my sopuse, a trained anesthesiologist, my hospital did well. We expended and introduced two subunits into our hospital viz
i. Abhyuday pathology centre
ii. Abhyuday sonography centre
